The manifesto

The stand doesn't watch. The stand plays.

Respect· Intensity· Humour· Team

We back every single one, push harder when the game gets tight, and turn tension into energy. We're not here to shout louder. We're here to cheer better.

We're not an official supporters' club or a team. We're a stand movement with its own brand, noise and sense of team.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is The Howler Monkeys Club?

A supporters' stand movement born in Badalona to back women's basketball with respect, intensity, humour and a whole lot of noise. It's not an official supporters' club or a team — it's a stand movement with its own brand, noise and sense of team.

Do you support a specific club or team?

We're agnostic about club, team and category: it's more an attitude than a flag — even if we defend ours with everything we've got. Non-profit; we're driven by a passion for women's basketball, good vibes and backing our players. Not everyone gets it.

How do I join?

Drop your email in the Join section and we'll tell you how to come aboard. We've got a WhatsApp community where the stand beats, and merch is coming to the site soon (t-shirts, caps, stickers and flyers with the manifesto and decalogue). No spam: we only shout when it counts.

What does "No tothom ho pilla" mean?

It's the movement's wink. It's about attitude and commitment, not shouting louder: we're here to cheer better. Exclusivity isn't asked for, it's proven — you're in if you fit.

Who is the movement NOT for?

For anyone who doesn't get basketball as a team sport and comes only to cheer a single player. There's no room for the 'manager-parents' chasing their daughter's spotlight, her minutes or some skewed stats (every coach's, coordinator's and sporting director's nightmare). Here we back a team: they're all ours. Every defence, every effort, every rebound, every assist, every free throw, every word of encouragement between them… it all adds up. Win or lose: you add, or you step aside.

What are your values and rules?

Four values: Respect, Intensity, Humour and Team. And the Howler Decalogue, ten rules of the stand. We compete with passion, but always with respect: the rival isn't the enemy.

Is there an anthem?

Yes: 'This is where you howl', with Catalan, Spanish and English versions. You can listen and download it on the site. The video version for YouTube is coming soon.

Where is the movement present?

Badalona is base camp. The movement grows city by city — Montgat, Vilanova del Vallès, Barcelona, Lleida, Murcia… — with Brooklyn and Slovenia on the horizon. It's a living list: it grows as the community responds. Step by step.

What are the stickers and the Meme Vault?

An inside collection of stickers and patches, plus the Meme Vault: the Howler meme archive. Stand culture. Spread the Howl.
